Impamark Supports Local Charities Amid Rising Homelessness and Food Insecurities in Essex
This Christmas season, Impamark, is proud to announce its support for two local charities: The Dengie Food Pantry and CHESS Homeless. With homelessness and food insecurity on the rise in Essex—where recent reports indicate approximately 24,000 people, including 11,500 children, are homeless—Impamark is committed to making a difference by supporting those in need during the festive season.
Impamark has made a donation to The Dengie Food Pantry, a volunteer-led organisation that works tirelessly to combat food insecurity in the local community. This contribution will help provide essential food supplies to families facing hardship, ensuring they can enjoy a more comfortable Christmas.
In addition, Impamark has partnered with CHESS Homeless, a Chelmsford-based charity focused on supporting individuals affected by homelessness. As part of this collaboration, Impamark is supplying vital items such as bags, thermal mugs, torches, warm hats, and thermal blankets to help those most vulnerable during the cold winter months. With homelessness affecting thousands across Essex, this partnership aims to provide comfort and relief to those in need, particularly as the winter weather sets in.
“We are deeply concerned about the rising levels of homelessness and food insecurity in Essex,” said Nicky Crisp, Director of Impamark. “At Impamark, we believe in giving back to our local community, especially during the holiday season. We are proud to support The Dengie Food Pantry and CHESS Homeless, and we hope our contributions bring warmth, comfort, and hope to those who need it most this Christmas.”
Through these efforts, Impamark is reaffirming its commitment to making a positive impact in the community. By helping those facing difficult circumstances, the company aims to ensure that everyone can experience a bit of hope and kindness this Christmas.
Breast Cancer Now
Impamark, are proud to announce that they have successfully raised £500 in support of Breast Cancer Now, a charity dedicated to funding life-saving research, providing expert care, and offering a supportive community for those affected by breast cancer.
The funds were raised through a combination of employee contributions, fundraising events, and company-led initiatives throughout the month of October, which is recognised globally as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The generous donations will go towards supporting Breast Cancer Now’s mission to stop breast cancer for good.
Breast Cancer Now is the UK’s largest breast cancer research charity, funding groundbreaking research into the disease and working to improve treatments and outcomes for those affected. Farleigh Hospice
During Impamark's 55th Anniversary Celebrations a special raffle held in aid of Farleigh Hospice, a remarkable non- profit organisation dedicated to providing compassionate care to individuals and families facing life-limiting illnesses. This cause is particularly meaningful to Director Nicky Crisp, as they supported Nicky's family during their time of need with the care of her father, David Thurgood, the founder of Impamark, who sadly passed away in 2016.
A grand total of £375 was raised as a result from the raffle - This will go a long way in supporting the invaluable services offered by Farleigh Hospice.
The Trussell Trust
As we are all aware, the cost of living crisis has hit massively. That is why in December 2023, Impamark wanted to give back to those in need and made a monetary donation to The Trussell Trust. This donation enables the charity to continue supporting those in need with emergency food and support.
The Woodland Trust
The Woodland Trust is the largest woodland conservation charity in the UK and is concerned with the creation, protection and restoration of native woodland heritage. With the help of donations, The Woodland Trust has planted over 50 Million Trees since 1972.
We made a donation of £500 in December 2023 to help the pressures facing woods and trees from inappropriate development to climate change and allowing The Woodland Trust to secure important woodland habitats that are at risk.
The Essex Wildlife TrustAs a company, Impamark is making changes in order to help the environment. Non-recyclable materials build up in landfill and pollute. The Earth, our home, is precious and should be cared for. Our climate is in crisis and our species face extinction. Impamark are proud to have been corporate members of Essex Wildlife Trust (EWT) for several years. EWT is the country's leading conservation charity committed to protecting wildlife and inspiring a lifelong love of nature. In supporting their efforts, we hope that we can help protect flora and fauna for the future.
Conservation is vitally important in maintaining the biodiversity pf our planet. Sustainability is key and it is important for us to provide environmentally green merchandise options where possible. In order to promote awareness of this issue, Impamark launched out Happy Turtle brand. This logo reflects our own efforts in the fight against pollution. Impamark has strengthened our own internal systems to reduce waste and we are actively focused on providing more environmentally friendly products to assist our clients in promoting their own stand against pollution in the environment.
Circus Starr - The Circus with a Purpose
Circus Starr is a charity which tours the UK to bring circus fun to families and children with all different kinds of needs. This allows every child, regardless of who they are to be completely themselves and soak up the magic. In September 2024 and September 2023, we made donations to this fantastic cause which means that they can continue bringing joy to those who need it.
WWF
For several years now Impamark have adopted a turtle to help the World Wildlife Fund with their projects working with local communities to monitor turtle movements and protect their habitat and other vital conservation work across the world. It is estimated that only 1 in 1000 marine hatchlings reach adulthood due to habitat destruction, climate change, fishing and poaching.
The Burnham on Crouch Carnival
The Burnham on Crouch Carnival is one of the country's longest running Carnivals. In March 2023, it was announced that due to rising costs, the historic event was at threat of not going ahead. We decided to get in touch with the committee to see how we could help. Alongside other local businesses, we became a key sponsor which has meant the Carnival has been able to go ahead!
Project Zero Racing
In 2021, we were approached by the team at Project Zero racing to become a sponsor for the racing season. As a result, for the last 2 years we have supported them with supplying suitable and memorable giveaway products as well as branded clothing for the team. Our logo also features on the car which some of the Impamark team have been lucky enough to see in person!
